Originally founded in 1933, Turkish Airlines is the flag carrier of Turkey. It operates an extensive network of domestic and international passenger and cargo services alongside its subsidiary and affiliate airlines. A member of the star alliance, Turkish Airlines Group is headquarters on the grounds of Ataturk International Airport .The Turkish Government retains a shareholding of 49.12% in the airline group. Turkish Airlines flies to more countries in the world than any other airline (105 countries over five continents).
